Description
Role purpose: The Manager, Sustainability & Compliance will lead and execute Jimmy Choo’s sustainability and compliance agenda, ensuring alignment with Capri Holdings objectives while delivering measurable results. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on implementation across Social Compliance, Product Compliance, Environmental Sustainability, and Data Management. The role reports to the Director of Sustainability & Compliance and will manage one direct report to support program delivery. Regulatory developments and evolving sustainability initiatives may expand the scope of the role’s responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Drive ESG Execution: Act as a key driver for implementing Jimmy Choo and Capri Holdings’ ESG programs, ensuring alignment with group and brand objectives and within budget. Social Compliance Management: Manage supplier social compliance programs, including audit planning, execution, and corrective action follow-up. Product Compliance Oversight: Manage chemical testing programs to meet global regulations and Capri’s PRSL and ZDHC program requirements. Attend legal-led meetings to track regulatory requirements and ensure timely internal implementation. Environmental Sustainability: Collaborate with Raw Materials and Product Development teams to monitor sustainable raw materials sourcing and support responsible sourcing initiatives. Track and report environmental performance metrics (energy, water, waste) and product data metrics against Capri Group targets. Data Management & Reporting: Collaborate to define robust systems for data collection, monitoring, and reporting on sustainability and compliance KPIs. Ensure data integrity for external audits, certifications, and regulatory submissions. Training & Stakeholder Engagement: Deliver internal and external supplier training on sustainability, product compliance, and ethical practices. Maintain strong partnerships with Supply Chain teams, certification bodies, and external stakeholders to advance sustainability goals and regulatory requirements. You’ll Need to Have: 5+ years of experience within a team managing and advancing sustainability programs and monitoring regulatory initiatives; ideally within the fashion, luxury or consumer product industries Outstanding project management skills and the ability to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously to drive completion with ability to prioritize effectively Excellent analytical and logical skills, strong attitude in strategical thinking and in solving complex problems, ideally with a technical background Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the global organization Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken Can-do attitude, with the ability to translate strategy into action.
