WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Toyota’s Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Talent Acquisition Manager, College and Early Career Talent. Reporting to the General Manager, Talent Management, the person in this role will support all Human Resources objectives and strategies around talent attraction, onboarding, development, skill building, and talent mobility.
The Talent Acquisition Manager will develop, implement, and execute annual strategic plans for college programs, trainee programs, and early talent initiatives across Toyota Motor North America (TMNA). This role involves leveraging data and analytics to drive recruitment strategies, collaborating with various business functions, other HR leaders, and internal and external stakeholders to include college/university faculty and designated scholarship organizations. This leader will be responsible managing all recruiting activities through a team of 5-7 direct reports. Overall, this role is responsible for filling 400+ internships and co-ops, and 200+ trainee or entry level positions.
The person in this role will also work with the Talent Development, TA Strategy & Operations, and other TA managers to drive overall strategy and collaborate on talent initiatives. Additionally, this person manages projects related to the use of technology, process efficiency, optimization, and continuous improvement.
This position is based at our North American headquarters in Plano, Texas. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop, implement, and execute annual strategic plans for college programs, trainee programs, and early talent initiatives, utilizing data-driven insights to inform decisions.
  • Collaboration: Partner with business leaders to understand their workforce needs and align recruiting activities accordingly. Collaborate with business functions to manage recruiting activities and monitor performance management for direct reports. Work with all Talent Acquisition leadership, recruiters, TA tech product owners, and TA process optimization team, to identify and engage in strategic activities that enhance candidate/customer experience, increase quality of hires, and allows for greater speed in acquiring talent.
  • Team Management: Hire, develop, coach, and performance manage direct reports. Responsibilities include goal setting, mentorship, problem-solving, development, and providing regular weekly feedback, supported by performance data and analytics to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Metrics Development: Create and analyze metrics to report to leadership and executives on college recruiting, trainee programs, and early talent initiatives. Develop a conversion dashboard to monitor conversions and ROI, using data analytics to optimize recruitment strategies.
  • Know the Industry and Trends: Keep up with emerging trends and best practices, new technology, and TMNA/TFS strategy to ensure college program alignment with short, mid-year, and long-term objectives.
