The Talent Development Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing effective talent programs while overseeing the administration and optimization of the Learning Management System (LMS). This role will ensure the seamless delivery of learning experiences, enhance employee development initiatives, and align learning strategies with business objectives. The ideal candidate has a passion for learning and development, strong instructional design skills, and hands-on experience managing an LMS.
The Talent Development Manager works and collaborates with multiple stakeholders across the enterprise, including HR Generalists, Support Services teams and Care Center leadership.
This is an individual contributor role, which will report to the Director of Talent Development.
Responsibilities

Onboarding (10%)

  • Maintain monthly onboarding calendar in partnership with Talent Acquisition.
  • Lead bi-monthly virtual new hire orientation.
  • Update/maintain new hire orientation and all onboarding materials.

Program Design & Development (40%)

  • Develop and deliver talent development strategies that align with business needs and company culture.
  • Design new and revise existing programs for leadership development, onboarding, and upskilling based on unique skills needed for each part of the business and to meet targeted learning objectives.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and people managers to facilitate relevant and scalable learning content across the enterprise.
  • Develop eLearning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), blended learning solutions, and microlearning experiences.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing talent programs to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration & Management (40%)

  • Oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimization of the LMS.
  • Utilize an internal ticketing process to monitor and respond to all LMS user needs.
  • Configure and customize LMS settings, user roles, and permissions to meet organizational needs.
  • Upload, organize, and manage course content, ensuring proper functionality and accessibility.
  • Generate reports and analytics on training participation, completion rates, and effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the LMS, collaborating with IT or vendors as needed.
  • Stay up to date with emerging LMS trends and advancements to enhance system capabilities.
  • Review LMS enhancements and recommend/prepare for releases.
  • Publish and maintain custom training content for the enterprise and all affiliates.

Performance Management (10%)

  • Support the development and implementation of performance management strategies and processes that measure performance outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create career development pathways and succession planning initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to leaders on effective performance management techniques, including feedback, goal setting, and career development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in training design, instructional design, and LMS administration.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and eLearning tools (Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.).
  • Experience managing and optimizing an LMS.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling learning content.
  • Certification in training design software or LMS is a plus.
