THE ROLE & THE TEAM

Partner Tech is one of the core departments in Zalando. Our goal is to empower and excite our Partners with simple, scalable, frictionless, and intuitive technology solutions making Zalando the preferred e-commerce channel for brands and retailers.
At Tech Operations, we act as a bridge between Partner Tech and various functions within Partner Platform and beyond to enhance the platform experience for both internal stakeholders and external partners by providing advanced technical support, generating valuable insights, offering tech consulting services, and optimising operational processes within Partner Tech.
Within the Tech Operations team, we provide support to maintain active, error-free dataflows. We consult on the development of systems used in the B2B processes based on commercial needs. Our team collaborates with key stakeholders on digital integration strategies and supports Product Management with data-driven product and process improvements.
As a Manager Tech Operations, you will drive significant value by delivering solutions to tech challenges our stakeholders may encounter while using our platform in the commercial business. You will also contribute to solving high-complexity problems by providing input for process and application improvements, working closely with a broad network of stakeholders, including engineering, product, commercial, and operations teams.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • You will provide tech knowledge support and consulting with focus on various API integrations, data flows and tech processes
  • You will investigate technical issues in the scope of brand integrations, article onboarding and order flows by using multiple systems, logs and SQL queries.
  • You will provide actionable, data-driven insights to Engineering and Product teams, closely collaborate with them to ensure operational issues are factored into external documentation and product development plans
  • You will build trust and handle communication with product users by providing guidance, prioritising support requests, technical incidents, escalations and setting expectations while maintaining a close and positive relationship
  • You will increase internal team efficiency by maintaining internal and external technical documentation
