Description POSITION: MANAGER, TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS CLASSIFICATION: SALARY / EXEMPT REPORTS TO: VP, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIRECT REPORTS: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STAFF COMPENSATION: $110,000 to $125,000 DOE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE The Manager, Technology Operations is responsible for managing the reliability, security, and scalability of technical infrastructure. This role bridges strategy and execution by leading IT teams, ensuring near-100% uptime and maintaining strict compliance with NCUA and financial regulations. Responsible for directing the daily operations, infrastructure, and technical support teams to deliver highly secure and resilient technology services. This leader ensures that all technology platforms—including network infrastructure and digital channels meet the operational needs of credit union members and employees, while strictly adhering to financial regulatory standards. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES, INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: IT Operations & Infrastructure Resilience Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of all production environments (cloud and on-premises). Manage IT help desk, end-user computing, telecommunications, and network administration. Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes to minimize downtime and business disruption. Compliance & Security Manage Information Security to ensure infrastructure is patched, secure, and resilient against cyber threats. Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, including NCUA guidelines, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and strict Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls. Support Business Continuity (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning for technology domains. Assist with internal audits, external regulatory examinations, and compliance reporting. Team Leadership & Strategic Planning Lead a high-performing team of IT administrators and engineers. Develop annual departmental goals, budgets, and operational service metrics (KPIs/SLAs) aligned with the credit union's strategic vision. Collaborate with executive leadership to evaluate technology risks, opportunities, and investments. Vendor Management Negotiate and manage relationships with IT vendors, software providers, and managed service providers (MSPs). Ensure third-party contracts deliver maximum value and uphold required service levels. Requirements Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are highly preferred. Experience: 5+ years of progressive IT infrastructure and operations leadership experience, in a financial services environment. Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of enterprise network architecture, VMware, Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory. Soft Skills: Excellent incident management, negotiation, and communication skills to bridge technical execution with business needs Credit Union Knowledge (not required) : Strong grasp of the credit union philosophy, member-centric service, and financial industry compliance laws.
