Role Description:
Spoonflower is seeking a Manager, Trade Sales & Demand for its Trade business. This person will be responsible for achieving revenue targets by developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to attract and convert new and relevant customers (residential and commercial interior designers). Incorporating insights from the Sales team and partnering with the Merchandising & Marketing team, they will translate business objectives into an end-to-end Go to Market strategy that resonates with our target audiences and achieve our financial goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of growing a line of business in a B2B environment, pairing a demonstrated growth mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-performance team with a bias for action. Previous experience in the interior design industry is required. The Manager, Trade Sales & Demand reports to the Senior Director of Sales & Growth Marketing and will lead a team of Sales Account Managers.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B Marketing, B2B Sales, CPG Marketing, or Brand Management
  • Experience in the interior design industry required
  • Proven track record of growing a line of business
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and tactics across multiple channels, integrating all marketing disciplines
  • Proven track record of managing a sales team
  • Strong analytical skills and experience gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources
  • Strong financial acumen, understanding of profit/revenue drivers and ROI analysis
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts effectivel
Responsibilities

Trade Strategy

  • Translate business priorities set by the Senior Director of Sales & Growth Marketing into an end-to-end Go to Market strategy, including sales and marketing tactics that attract and convert new customers and retain existing customers
  • Where applicable, partner with Merchandising to incorporate brand value proposition and product key selling points across multiple categories into Trade-specific activations

Sales Execution

  • Own and help to manage the existing Salesforce pipeline, reporting on opportunity creation, development and conversion
  • Lead pipeline reviews meetings and work with Sales reps on performance
  • Create and provide the Sales team with marketing materials and tools needed to support lead generation, customer engagement, and customer conversion
  • Develop content and collateral that is targeted to specific prospects we wish to convert

Marketing Execution

  • Manage the timely execution of Trade-specific marketing plans across all relevant marketing channels (e.g., CRM, SEM, Paid Social, Website) and internal marketing teams (e.g., Creative, Collaborations), including creation of creative briefs, dissemination of assets to channel leads, and measurement of results and KPIs
  • Own and manage the Partner Marketing budget for Trade
  • Own the identification and execution of all tradeshow and outside partner events (e.g., High Point, NeoCon, strategic interior design spotlight partners) and work cross-functionally with channel leads to deploy partner event marketing when and where appropriate

Performance Tracking & Insights

  • Provide Leadership team with weekly performance updates vs. plan and recommend any tactical changes needed
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly sales and marketing performance reviews to assess results vs plan, identify what worked and what did not, and share suggested changes to upcoming marketing plans based on learnings
  • Conduct regular competitive analyses to identify strengths and weaknesses of Spoonflower’s brand and product positioning in the Trade channel vs. competitors and translate insights into action plans for value proposition messaging, storytelling, external collaborations, and creative and copy development
  • Act as the internal marketing expert for the Trade channel by developing a deep understanding of industry dynamics, market conditions, customer insights, and competitor activities

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.
California : [$93,250-$132,750]
Connecticut and New York: [$93,250-$121,500]
Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Washington: [$93,250-$112,500]
Nevada: [$82,000-$121,500]
Maryland and New Jersey: [$100,750-$121,500]
Hawaii : [$82,000 – $105,750]
