Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in Australian Taxation Office (ATO) transfer pricing reviews and audits based on economic principles. Formulate, recommend, and implement global tax transfer pricing policies for multinational companies in the financial services sector. Assist in negotiating Advance Pricing Arrangements with the ATO and other tax authorities, and prepare Mutual Agreement Procedure applications.
  • Analyse the impact of international tax policies and prepare recommendations on their consequences from an Australian tax and transfer pricing perspective. Model financial outcomes of cross-border debt and global trading arrangements, return on assets, and profit splits.
  • Provide fully integrated approaches to transfer pricing by preparing documents, data files, and models to fulfil client compliance obligations. Project manage multiple engagements to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.

Ideally, you’ll have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Possess at least 5 to 6 years of Transfer Pricing experience within a top-tier accounting firm, corporate, tax consulting, or legal environment. Demonstrate good drafting skills, the ability to apply facts to Transfer Pricing legislation, and advise clients on the implications.
  • Have experience in assimilating complex information and data sources to provide succinct and well-informed recommendations. Exhibit strong teaming and leadership skills with the ability to build trust and credibility quickly.
  • Show strong commercial acumen, staying abreast of wider legal, economic, environmental, and political factors that influence transfer pricing. Exceptional client service orientation and a collaborative approach to teaming are essential.
  • Hold an Economics degree, Accounting degree, Legal degree, Certified Practising Accountant, or Chartered Accountant qualification. Financial modelling, Excel skills, AI skills, and Bloomberg skills are beneficial. Financial services experience is preferred but not necessary
