Description
Key responsibilities Business Development: Identify and prospect potential clients within the transportation industry, including manufacturers, retailers, distributors, and other businesses requiring transportation services. Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand our customer base. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets. Proposal Development and Negotiation Prepare comprehensive proposals and presentations outlining our transportation solutions, pricing structures, and value propositions to prospective clients. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to develop customized solutions that align with client needs and company capabilities. Sales Reporting and Analysis Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and performance metrics using CRM software or other sales tracking tools. Generate regular reports summarizing sales performance, key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for optimization and strategic decision-making. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field. Proven track record of success in transportation sales or a similar role, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience. In-depth knowledge of the transportation industry, including freight forwarding, logistics, trucking, or related services. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to travel as needed.
