Description

Key responsibilities Business Development: * Identify and prospect potential clients within the transportation industry, including manufacturers, retailers, distributors, and other businesses requiring transportation services. * Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand our customer base. * Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market. * Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets. Proposal Development and Negotiation * Prepare comprehensive proposals and presentations outlining our transportation solutions, pricing structures, and value propositions to prospective clients. * Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. * Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to develop customized solutions that align with client needs and company capabilities. Sales Reporting and Analysis * Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and performance metrics using CRM software or other sales tracking tools. * Generate regular reports summarizing sales performance, key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. * Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for optimization and strategic decision-making. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field. * Proven track record of success in transportation sales or a similar role, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience. * In-depth knowledge of the transportation industry, including freight forwarding, logistics, trucking, or related services. * Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively. * Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to travel as needed.
