POSITION PURPOSE

The incumbent plays a key role in the management, coordination, and development of undergraduate academic programs within the Faculty. This position requires in-depth expertise in academic administration, as well as a nuanced understanding of the pedagogical and administrative needs of university programs. The incumbent ensures integrated management (leadership, planning, and coordination) of academic and administrative activities related to student records and will be responsible for developing academic policies, optimizing enrollment processes, and continuously improving the student experience.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Academic Program Management: Supervise and coordinate undergraduate academic programs ensuring their alignment with strategic objectives of the Faculty and the University. Works closely with program Directors, Professors, teaching staff and departmental leads to ensure consistency and quality across curricula. As a member of various senior management committees, handle complex and escalated complaint files, such as Senate appeals, cases from the Human Rights Office and the Ombudsperson’s Office, in collaboration with the Dean and Vice-Deans, to resolve issues and help define future strategic priorities based on in-depth analysis of these complaints.
  • Academic Integrity: Oversee activities related to academic integrity and serve as an advisor to the Vice-Dean of Studies, academic units, faculty members, and students on issues related to academic integrity (academic fraud, program evaluations, requests for program changes or new programs).
  • Optimization of administrative processes: Oversee and act as an expert advisor in the processes of student admission, registration, evaluation, and graduation, ensuring their efficiency and compliance with institutional standards. Supervise logistical aspects related to program implementation, including course offering planning, scheduling, room allocation, academic calendar management, and exam planning.
  • Student Experience: Under the leadership of the Senior Specialist, Student Experience, play a key role in the continuous improvement of the student experience by contributing to the development of initiatives that address students’ academic, social, and professional needs (e.g., orientation programs).
  • Leadership and team management: Supervise and lead a team of administrative and academic staff, fostering a collaborative work environment focused on excellence and continuous professional development.
  • Inter-Faculty Collaboration and Representation: Serve as the primary point of contact for matters related to undergraduate academic programs, both within the Faculty and at the University level. Participate in inter-faculty committees and working groups, representing the Faculty’s interests in strategic and operational discussions.
