Description
To provide administrative and technical support in the Reinsurance Section, and to assist in managing the reinsurance programme, to ensure the reinsurance strategies support the growth and the prudent risk management of the business. Assist in managing the reinsurance programme, including but not limited to review, negotiation and implementation Handle administration and documentation relating to reinsurance programme and facultative inwards business Assist in continual system update or health checks Technical support across various activities involving reinsurance Monitor counterparties and compile statistics for submission or data requests Support the activities of the Reinsurance Section in line with Company's Policies and Business Plans Ensure compliance with all laws, regulatory provisions and Group policies as are relevant to the role Undertake any other duties as may be assigned Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks. Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company. Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices. Tertiary education or professional insurance qualification Minimum 2 years’ working experience in general insurance industry or technical knowledge in underwriting, reinsurance and risk management Possess analytical and problem-solving abilities, collaboration and communication skills Good interpersonal skills Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Team player and able to work independently High level of integrity, take accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork Take initiative to improve current state of things and adapt in embracing new changes
