Join the Sydney Metro team that is tasked with early development of Metro projects. you will have a unique chance to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and champion strategic land use, placemaking and urban planning outcomes during development of business cases.
There are two roles available – Manager, Urban Planning and Manager, Strategic Land Use Planning. These are fixed-term opportunities up until 31/03/2026.
As Manager, Urban Planning you will be managing and coordinating key urban planning inputs to the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport extensions business cases, , shaping thriving precincts where community members can gather, connect, shop, work and play. You will be providing specialist advice on urban planning for Sydney Metro, ensuring corridor, station and precinct planning is integrated and consistent with the overall project objectives. You will also support the development of land use analysis led by others within the team.
As Manager, Strategic Land Use Planning you will be managing and coordinating strategic land use assessment inputs to the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport extensions business cases, providing specialist advice on strategic land use constraints and opportunities, manage and oversee inputs from the external Land Use Services consultant and coordinate with other government agencies on project land use outcomes. You will also support the development of urban planning inputs led by others within the team.
Both roles will participate in consultation with key stakeholders, working with the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure and others, to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach to urban and strategic land use planning activities to meet Sydney’s future needs.
