Description
Overview Position: Audit Manager (7 to 9 years of External Audit Experience with Qualification) Technology skills, Competencies, Experience and Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of assigned audit engagements, ensuring files are reviewed and completed to an exceptionally high standard within required deadlines. • Work full-time on U.S. market engagements from the India office, managing assigned audit engagements for clients. • Review workpapers prepared by India and U.S. team members, ability to independently start assigned areas based on information provided by the U.S. engagement team and/or engagement partner. • Balance multiple priorities by considering risk, importance, urgency, political impacts, and other interdependencies. • Take full end-to-end ownership of audit engagements, including planning, risk assessment, execution, review, and reporting. • Interact directly with U.S. clients throughout all phases of the engagement. • Apply strong technical knowledge and judgment to develop well-reasoned, well-researched positions on client issues. • Demonstrates strong technical knowledge and judgment and develop well reasoned and researched arguments on client issues. • Manage PBC lists, engagement timelines, and partner expectations efficiently. • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the organization’s business processes and identify opportunities to optimize engagement delivery. • Provide timely guidance to colleagues on quality, process, and risk management matters, leveraging experience to help resolve issues and strengthen compliance. • Create an environment of high performance that promotes a clear understanding of team goals and individual contributions. • Proactively coach team members and coachees to build technical, interpersonal, and soft skills and improve overall competence. • Lead and coach the team effectively, providing regular individual feedback to deliver efficient, high-quality audit services to Wipfli clients. • Proactively lead the audit from planning through issuance, ensuring client deadlines are met through efficient execution and high-quality delivery. • Manage multiple deadlines and relationships (internal and external), identify and escalate audit issues and risks, and ensure timely resolution of queries through the team. • Build meaningful working relationships with partners and senior managers to generate additional work from existing clients and support selling new client proposals. • Resolve issues that hinder effective teamwork, even during times of change and uncertainty. • Collaborate with partners and senior managers on integration proposals and business development calls.• Manage escalation emails and calls. • Develop in-depth knowledge of the industry one is aligned to and strive for becoming an expert within the industry • Exercise strong review and judgment skills in file reviews, coaching team members, and resolving complex audit issues. • Support work transition initiatives to India offices, including workforce capacity planning and utilization management. • Participate regularly in professional development, networking events, and relevant training seminars. Specific Skills, Education and Experience Requirements: • Experience in public and private company audits, review engagements, compilation, or preparation engagements is required. Experience in Commercial MRD, Technology, or Tribal /Government industry audits will be an added advantage. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and U.S. GAAS. • Working knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare and IDEA is preferred. • Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools and Adobe Acrobat/PDF.
