JOB SUMMARY

• The UX/UI Manager will oversee the development of the user experience for Omahasteaks.com, customer-facing components of associated software, and upcoming digital products and services. You will lead and manage the UX team and design processes, establish design systems, perform user research, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a smooth and intuitive online shopping experience. Additionally, you should have a clear understanding of the technical capabilities of current IT resources to effectively set realistic expectations.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• 4- year college degree or equivalent in UX/UI Design, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in product development environment
• 10+ years’ experience in information architecture, interaction design, usability and prototyping
• 3+ years’ experience managing or mentoring a design or development team
• 1-3 years’ experience in retail and ecommerce functionality highly preferred
• Advanced knowledge of user research and analytics, able to integrate data insights into design strategy.
• Mastery of all aspects of UX design (research, interaction, visual, and information design).

• Ability to shape and drive UX strategy, influencing business decisions and product roadmaps.
• Highly skilled in mentoring and leading design teams, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.

• Manage multiple, complex design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
• Lead and manage a team of UX designers, providing leadership, guidance, and support for their career development.
• Oversee and drive the entire UX strategy for a product or product suite, works directly with senior leadership to align design with business goals.
• Understand business objectives, complex workflows, and end-user needs with ability to translate that into a seamless experience for the customer
• Ensure wireframes, process flows, and other UI/UX artifacts can be successfully delivered from ideation to implementation within development timelines and technical restraints, partnering with product and development teams
• Assist with design related tasks. Rapid-prototyping, usability testing, write and present acceptance criteria.
• Ability to shape and drive UX strategy, influencing business decisions and product roadmaps.
• Drive innovation within the UX space, exploring emerging trends, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve the design process.
