JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven leadership and management experience.
  • Strong understanding of operational and financial aspects of managing.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to Human Resources, Legal, and Environmental compliance.
  • Experience in mentoring and leading teams, with a focus on fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and customer-friendly service center.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively with employees and customers.
  • Ability to develop and implement local marketing programs to increase service center awareness.
  • Skilled in managing staff schedules, inventory, and addressing day-to-day operational challenges.
  • Ability to adhere to and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Experience with conducting employee training and using training systems such as Super Pro.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive certifications or managerial training is a plus.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, crouching, and working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Running a successful service center overall according to costs and profits
  • Understanding and adhering to both State and Federal laws to ensure compliance with corporate Human Resource, Legal, and Environmental compliance
  • Mentoring your team of employees to foster a collaborative work environment
  • Maintaining a clean workspace that invites customers and provides comfort for them to return
  • Developing local marketing programs to increase service center awareness
  • Conduct training sessions (utilizing the Super Pro Training System) for service center employees and technicians
  • Scheduling staff, ordering service center inventory, and managing day-to-day obstacles
  • Ensuring employees adhere to VIOC policies and procedures
  • Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Standard Operating

  • Perform vehicle inspections in required states. Safety or Emissions
  • Inspect and test new vehicles for damage and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
  • Test electronic computer components in automobiles to ensure proper operation. Tune automobile engines to ensure proper and efficient functioning
  • Install or repair air conditioners and service components, such as compressors, condensers, and controls.
  • Repair, replace, or adjust defective fuel filters.
  • Check air pressure in vehicle tires; and levels of fuel, motor oil, transmission, radiator, battery, and other fluids; and add air, oil, water, or other fluids, as required.
  • Rotate, test, and repair or replace tires
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Company.
