Overview:
The Virtual Audit Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the premium audit virtual team comprised of Virtual Auditors. Performs managerial duties including hiring, training, and mentoring to direct reports. Virtual Audit Manager will also perform virtual audits of the highest complexity ensuring the accuracy of earned premium risk calculations. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision and reporting to the Director of Premium Audit, Virtual Audit Manager is accountable and responsible for all operations of the virtual audit team. Manages a team of approximately 10-12 staff who will be virtual.
  • Performs coaching, mentoring and motivating of virtual audit unit. Performs all necessary management functions to meet production goals and to assure that compliance and performance standards are achieved.
  • Develops and trains staff on audit systems, policy management systems, and other necessary applications.
  • Maintains achievable inventory of audits and demonstrates expert knowledge and skill in performing virtual audits on Workers Compensation and General Liability policies under limited supervision. Examines records to ensure that calculations of earned premium for risks are accurate.
  • Analyzes premium audit issues, resolves disputes / discrepancies with insured’s, agents, and underwriters. Provides monthly reports of unit’s production, quality and other value added measures to premium audit leadership.
  • Self-performs audits within assigned territory with focus on audits of the highest complexity.
  • Validates that the correct classes are applied and are in accordance with governing regulatory agencies and/or independent state bureaus and company procedures by reviewing financial records and other relevant materials. Assists in handling and clearing test audits and other bureau inquiries.
  • Provides technical guidance and assistance to lower level positions.
  • Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers throughout the life cycle of the premium audit function.
  • Keeps current with manual rules, market trends and demands.
  • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
