Team Description Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintech's, payment enablers and governments. Job Description The VCA team is looking for a manager to join our consulting practice and play a role in delivering high-impact strategic projects for Visa clients in Central America and the Caribbean. The potential candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery and implementation of projects and solutions with Financial Institutions/Issuing Banks in Central America and the Caribbean. This person will develop initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, ensuring that Visa is the preferred brand and single business partner. Lead and deliver consulting projects in issuing, merchant sales, and acquiring for CARICOM accounts and regional multinational clients. Drive the VCA strategy across Central America and the Caribbean and turn regional opportunities into results. Coordinate with internal teams to execute acceptance activities based on consulting recommendations. Identify opportunities, lead initiatives, and help close engagements while building and managing a client pipeline from discovery to scoping. Apply clear frameworks and solutions to the most important client challenges and become a trusted partner to account executives. Work closely with marketing, sales, risk, innovation, and global and regional teams to leverage Visa resources. Produce insights and analysis to improve client performance and guide payment P and L priorities. Manage multiple initiatives at once, interpret client needs into actionable plans, and create reusable solutions, toolkits, best practices, and consulting approaches for the VCA practice. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications Background in quantitative fields like engineering economics computer science business administration or finance is preferred. Requires five years in the payments industry, ideally managing card portfolios or advising on payments in consulting. Problem solving ability with strategic focus on influencing ROI. Understanding of card issuers' P&L and critical factors in driving profitability a plus. Excellent communication, story-telling and presentation skills (especially by designing, building, and showcasing project results packages and delivery materials). Strong team orientation with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style and able to work effectively in a matrixed organization. Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently and work independently. Deep experience and a track record of high performance in large consulting firm or corporate strategy. Competence in using financial indicators to assess business performance, focusing heavily on return on investment. Ability to draw meaningful insights from both quantitative and qualitative data. Proficient in data-driven storytelling with effective data visualization, use data to improve project execution. Able to generate templates + storyboards (flow / structure), guide others, and ask questions to uncover new areas of analysis. Ability to take a problem statement and support crafting proposals with guidance from leadership, like competitive analysis.
