MANAGER, WAREHOUSE AND LOGISTICS

Are you a seasoned logistics and warehouse professional with more than 10 years of leadership experience? Do you want to use your expertise to make a lasting impact in your community? Join the Kamloops Food Bank as our Manager, Warehouse and Logistics and help us move food—and hope—to where it’s needed most.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse leadership or a similar role
  • Mandatory supervisory/team management experience in a fast-paced environment with ability to motivate and inspire
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, food safety and transportation logistics
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on, problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills
  • Passion for community impact and social responsibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management or a related field would be considered an asset
  • Forklift and other equipment certifications would be an asset
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $32.00-$37.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Manager, Warehouse and Logistics is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of our warehouse operations, transportation logistics, food recovery program (foodSHARE) and safety initiatives. This position leads a passionate team committed to fighting hunger while ensuring the safe and efficient movement of millions of pounds of food each year.
This is a full-time position with 40 hours a week Monday-Friday (7 a.m. - 3 p.m.), with occasional evening and weekend responsibility. We offer competitive wages, as well as benefits and paid vacation after a successful three-month trial period.
Qualified candidates should be comfortable with some physical activity work, administrative duties and leadership oversight.
