The Municipal Licensing and Standards Division supports the City of Toronto by contributing to the safety, vibrancy and maintenance of communities by being a leader in the effective delivery of by-law administration and enforcement services, business licensing and permitting, and animal care services.
Reporting to the Director Policy & Strategic Support, the Manager Workforce Development & Training MLS will develop and implement the Division’s overall workforce planning and development strategy and initiatives through divisional consultation in support of a high performing, knowledgeable and engaged workforce.
The Manager will coordinate divisional training efforts with ML&S operations and the people services support team regarding strategic human resources planning, talent management, employee and labor relations, succession planning, training and development and performance management. The position has direct accountability for the oversight of the division’s training and development programs, on-boarding, and off-boarding programs, internal and health and safety programs, including initiatives to support employee wellness.
