Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

The Manager, Workplace Planning, is responsible for managing the development of evidence-based strategic accommodation planning to help inform infrastructure investment priorities and asset management activities across DCJ’s leased offices portfolio to ensure the office portfolio is safe and fit-for-purpose accommodation for DCJ staff and judiciary officers, as well as ensuring the portfolio’s health in line with NSW Government Accommodation Standards and KPIs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As part of the Capital Planning and Investment team within Infrastructure and Assets division, you are responsible for but not limited to:

  • Assess the leased asset portfolio and identify areas of improvement / efficiency. Identify and create a 4-year rolling infrastructure plan for our leased asset portfolio. (reducing rent, reducing space, consolidating, refurbishments and improvements of office space)

    • Aged portfolio, prime for improvement
  • Identify possible site consolidations
  • Improve landlord investment and incentive
  • Work with Property and Development NSW (PDNSW) to commence Market Searches for new office requirements / sites and support lease negotiation to achieve the best possible incentives
  • Work with multiple teams to complete site due diligence of base building services, and plan the program of works to hand over to project managers for fit out / construction as required
  • Maintain strong engagement and relationships with divisional clients
  • Prepare briefing notes, program briefs, decommission briefs, New Policy Proposals (NPP)
  • Support strategic merit assessment (SMA) on potential program/projects to achieve strong long-term strategies
  • Participate in site inspections
  • Prepare building stacks on multi-tenanted buildings
  • Improve the data quality and reporting to support evidence-based decision making
  • Support Landlord approvals for new fit outs
