MANAGING CONSULTANT – CORPORATE SUSTAINABILITY (SUSTAINABLE SOURCING & MINERAL SUPPLY CHAINS)

Are you passionate about using your consulting skills to create a more sustainable and just world? Do you want to work with global clients on critical supply chain issues related to responsible raw materials sourcing and human rights due diligence?
SLR Consulting is looking for a Managing Consultant to join our Corporate Sustainability team in Berlin. In this role, you’ll take the lead in delivering and developing our advisory services focused on ethical sourcing, sustainability strategy, and ESG due diligence—especially across mineral supply chains.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Business fluency in English & German; working proficiency in one or more of Russian, Mandarin Chinese, French, and Spanish is desirable
• Demonstrable business and consulting, and/or other relevant experience including proven knowledge and experience in CSR / sustainability at a level commensurate with the level of the job
• Knowledge and understanding of responsible raw materials sourcing and supply chain sustainability issues
• Curious and unafraid to challenge conventional wisdom
• Business and client focused
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients
• Excellent writing skills in English
• Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills
• Exceptional analytical skills to distil quantitative and qualitative data
• Solid time management and project management skills
• Strong attention to detail

As a Managing Consultant, you’ll:

• Build strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Contribute to the design of responsible sourcing strategies and systems
• Conduct environmental and human rights risk assessments in supply chains
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing
• Present at industry events and publish thought leadership content
• Stay on top of emerging ESG regulations and best practices

The role is based in our Berlin or London office with flexible hybrid working and occasional international travel.
