Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Managing Consultant (Systems Integration) within the Egis Rail business, your impact will be in providing technical expertise for systems engineering, integration and interface management across metro systems, including project management of rail systems packages.

You will also:

  • Support the rail team across major projects (local or national); including metro rail systems, rolling stock or signalling projects as required.
  • Support the development of opportunities across Egis, particularly within transport, including activties such as developing proposals, as well as meetings and presentations with clients.
  • Engage on international projects as required, as a subject matter expert providing expertise in rail systems. Egis has a significant number of metro and other rail projects in both delivery and development stages in North America, Asia and Europe.

Ideally, you will have at least 10 years’ experience in a similar role with demonstrated expert knowledge of integrated metro systems. You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline (Systems, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering qualifications desired)
  • CPEng or equivalent registration highly desired
  • RPEV/RPEQ highly desired but not mandatory
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in automated metro systems (GoA4)
  • Strong knowledge of rail systems packages such as control systems, rolling stock, signalling, OCS, comms, SCADA and HV & LV electrical systems
  • Demonstrated expertise in systems integration and interface management for metro projects (nationally and/or internationally)
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and delivery across project phases
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly developed client management skills
  • Well-developed people leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others to achieve outcomes
  • Exceptional written and planning skills
  • Confident to work autonomously with limited guidance
