The Managing Director – Head of Portfolio Solutions plays a critical role in the shaping and execution of the firm’s investment strategies. Working closely with the Managing Director – Head of Investments, this individual is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational processes, systems, and infrastructure that support the investment management team. This includes managing the day-to-day operations of the investment function, enhancing operational workflows, and coordinating with internal teams. Duties and Responsibilities: Actively contribute as a key member of the firm’s Investment Committee, shaping and refining long-term investment strategies aimed at optimizing portfolio returns and aligning with market opportunities. Support the Head of Investments in managing the operational infrastructure that drives efficient investment management, ensuring seamless execution of investment strategies and timely portfolio adjustments to optimize performance. Supervise and manage both client-facing and back-office functions related to the firm’s investment offerings, ensuring alignment with client investment objectives and regulatory compliance. Partner with technology and operations teams to enhance investment-related platforms, including trading systems, portfolio analysis tools, and performance reporting software, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the firm’s investment strategy. Spearhead the integration of advanced technologies and tools to streamline investment operations, improve data analysis capabilities, and enhance scalability and reliability of investment decision-making processes. Collaborate with senior leaders to set and monitor investment performance goals, KPIs, and metrics that directly support the firm’s broader financial and investment objectives. Lead initiatives to automate routine investment tasks, reduce operational costs, and drive greater productivity in investment management processes, enhancing overall team efficiency and return on investment (ROI). Cultivate a collaborative, performance-driven culture focused on achieving superior investment outcomes. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering continuous professional development within the investment management team. Work closely with compliance, marketing, and operations teams to ensure resources are efficiently allocated to support investment activities, and align strategic objectives across the firm. Communicate the firm’s investment philosophy, strategies, and performance metrics to prospective and current advisors, showcasing the value proposition of the firm’s investment approach. Participate in meetings with high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients to discuss investment strategies, portfolio performance, and potential investment opportunities. Contribute to discussions with prospective M&A partners, evaluating potential strategic alliances that could enhance the firm’s investment offerings and overall portfolio performance. Support integration of investment processes for new M&A partner firms Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus CFA designation required At least 15 years of experience in investment related field within financial services or asset management industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role Proven track record managing teams and optimizing operational processes in support of investment management Strong understanding of portfolio management systems, trade execution, reconciliation processes, and performance reporting Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Ability to analyze large datasets and communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and effective manner Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams across the organization What We Offer We offer a highly competitive suite of holistic benefits designed to help our team members balance their personal and professional life commitments.
