ABOUT THE ANGELICO PROJECT

The Angelico Project is a fast-growing Catholic nonprofit dedicated to evangelizing through Beauty, Truth, and Goodness. We host events, concerts, art exhibitions, presentations, and performances that draw people to Christ and His Church through art, thought, and culture. Entering our seventh season, we aim to double our impact in the next five years—expanding to 10,000+ annual event attendees, $1M in annual revenue, and national influence as a hub of Catholic art and culture.
Our vision is to make our region the center of a new renaissance of art, thought, and culture. We are seeking a highly organized, mission-aligned, and execution-focused Managing Director to serve as the “Integrator” in our EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) structure, helping us rise to a new level of growth and achieve our long-term vision.

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

The Integrator is the glue that holds the organization together, ensuring day-to-day execution aligns with long-term strategy. Acting as the right-hand to the Executive Director (Visionary), the Integrator drives results by translating vision into action, coordinating team performance, resolving issues, and optimizing systems and processes. This is a high-ownership, high-accountability role requiring strong operational instincts, structured thinking, and clear communication.
The Managing Director/ Integrator is the internal force that turns vision into action, ensuring that the strategies developed by the Executive Director and Board are effectively translated into systems, staff action plans, and measurable outcomes. You’ll manage organizational priorities, support department leads, drive project timelines, and cultivate a results-oriented culture that aligns with our mission and values.
This is a builder role—perfect for someone with a background in nonprofit administration, arts management, fundraising operations, project management, or mission-driven startups who thrives on structure, accountability, and getting things done.

2. TEAM LEADERSHIP, ALIGNMENT, & ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Assist the Executive Director in recruiting, onboarding, and building the core team necessary to achieve strategic goals and realize the vision.
  • Manage and mentor department leads, providing clarity, coaching, accountability, and support that drives KPI outcomes, Rock achievement, and vision realization.
  • Foster a high-performance, mission-driven internal culture rooted in Catholic values.
  • Promote healthy communication, staff morale, and shared ownership of goals.
  • Resolve conflicts. Harmonize team members and cross-departmental efforts, keeping all teams aligned, motivated, and moving in the same direction.
  • Serve as primary point of coordination for interdepartmental projects, while also acting as a sounding board for team leads.

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU ARE:

  • A trusted #2 who thrives behind the scenes bringing ideas to life
  • A natural organizer and executor who turns ideas into action
  • A finisher—not just a starter—who loves completing projects
  • A systems-builder who enjoys fixing, improving, and optimizing processes
  • A servant-leader with emotional intelligence, able to manage up, down, and across with maturity
  • A structured thinker who brings clarity to complexity
  • A self-starter with strong time-management skills and personal accountability
  • A goal-setter who knows how to prioritize effectively
  • A bridge-builder between creative, mission-driven leaders and practical realities
  • Someone who sees what’s missing and takes initiative to fill the gap
  • A conflict-resolver, tie-breaker, and unifier who loves leading people toward shared success
  • A humble leader willing to serve behind the scenes to help build something beautiful
  • A person of faith and integrity who wants to help renew the Church through beauty and mission

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WILL BE MEASURED BY:

  • Execution: Strategic projects and priorities move from idea to implementation
  • Operation: Quarterly priorities (“Rocks”) are completed on time and with excellence
  • Alignment: Staff is coordinated, accountable, and unified; Scorecards are maintained and followed
  • Culture: Team morale is strong (high Level 10 Meeting ratings); the mission remains central and motivating
  • Growth: Organizational capacity, revenue, and audience engagement continue to scale
  • Health: Internal systems and infrastructure support sustainable, efficient operations
