Description

Job SummaryWe are seeking a Relationship Manager / Private Banker at Managing Director level to join our client's Dubai (DIFC) office. This is a business-development-led mandate for a proven wealth management professional with a portable book of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, capable of originating and growing USD 100 million or more in annual assets under management. The successful candidate will be a genuine “hunter” who thrives on a flexible, independent platform and is ready to move quickly — our client's hiring process moves fast for the right profile.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesOriginate, acquire, and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth wealth management clients, with a clear focus on new asset acquisition.
  • Deliver tailored wealth management and investment solutions aligned to client objectives, working closely with product, investment, and advisory specialists.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients across the assigned coverage markets, converting relationships into portable, revenue-generating mandates.
  • Represent the platform in-market, developing and maintaining an active network of intermediaries, family offices, and referral sources across the coverage priority.
  • Ensure all client engagement, onboarding, and portfolio activity is conducted in line with applicable regulatory, compliance, and suitability requirements in the DIFC.
  • Contribute to the wider growth strategy and team culture of the Dubai franchise as it continues to scale.
  • Requirements:Proven track record as a Relationship Manager / Private Banker operating at Managing Director level, with demonstrated new-asset acquisition of USD 100 million or more in annual AUM.
  • A portable book of business, with clients able to transition to the new platform.
  • Coverage experience aligned to one or more of the following markets: UK/Europe, Africa, or Asia ex-NRI — with particular priority given to Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and China.
  • A genuine “hunter” profile: commercially driven, entrepreneurial, and comfortable scaling a book on a flexible platform.
  • Strong, existing relationships with intermediaries, family offices, and HNW/UHNW individuals within the relevant coverage markets.
  • Eligibility for the relevant regulatory licensing/registration required for wealth management activity in the DIFC (or the ability to obtain it).

  • SkillsExcellent business development, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to convert prospects into long-term client mandates.
  • Strong technical knowledge of wealth management, investment products, and cross-border wealth solutions for HNW/UHNW clients.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional fluency in Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, Vietnamese, Thai, French, or German is highly advantageous given the coverage priorities.
  • High level of commercial acumen, integrity, and discretion, consistent with wealth management standards of client confidentiality.
