Description

Managing Director Overview Manage the investment banking client business for the respective sector. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the relevant industry sector investment banking team activities (i.e. technology sector, etc.) in identifying key ecosystem trends and areas of activity to identify areas of opportunity for the firm. * Work to support new business development efforts across the sector group * Identifying and prioritizing potential clients * Developing and delivering pitches t6 prospective clients * Marketing at appropriate industry events * Identify and grow key relationships with targeted client management teams, boards of directors, and other key stakeholders including shareholders, etc. * Lead engagement teams and provide depth of expertise in sell-side, buy-side and general advisory M&A engagements; public offerings, private placements and PIPE transactions, including structuring, marketing, and negotiating transactions * Provide leadership to investment banking team * Take initiative in helping develop junior members of the investment-banking department, through formal project work and informal coaching and mentoring. * Identifies, assesses, and monitors applicable risks based on the Firm’s risk management policies and procedures. Reviews work of subordinates for risk management purposes, if applicable. * Performs all functions as assigned by management. Required Qualifications: * College degree plus 12 or more years of banking experience, or MBA plus 9 years Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Has good knowledge of applicable risk management practices required creating a culture of risk management compliance for his or her group or department.
