Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Risk Control Canada Inc. is seeking a highly experienced operations leader to oversee and enhance the day-to-day functions of our Protective Services division. The Managing Director of Protective Services will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of frontline security operations, optimizing business processes, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong operational mindset to drive performance, implement strategic improvements, and oversee resource allocation across multiple projects and client sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPP, PSP, APP, CRM Certification Required
- 10+ years of experience in operations management or a similar leadership role in the security, investigations, risk management, law enforcement, or related sectors
- Strong leadership, communication, team-building and supervisory skills
- Ability to analyze business processes and lead improvements.
- Experience with project management and the implementation of operational programs.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Risk Control Canada Inc.’s Protective Services department (frontline security operations), ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery on projects and deliverables (assessments, reports, investigations, security services, etc).
- Lead the review of all existing business operations, focusing on identifying areas for improvement and operational efficiencies related to performance and client satisfaction.
- Develop a strategic short- and long-term vision for the division, including creating a business plan for the protective service operations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, assist with business development initiatives (i.e. RFP responses, following up on new leads, development of client proposals, etc) and contribute to marketing efforts.
- Responsible for overseeing key HR processes, including recruitment, training, and performance management, while also managing relationships with subcontractor companies, independent contractors, and consultants to ensure compliance with contractual terms and the delivery of high-quality services.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align operations with the company’s strategic short and long-term goals.
- Foster strong client relationships through regular in-person meetings, networking, and professional engagement, ensuring a personable and approachable presence that strengthens trust and business opportunities.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to department and regional managers, ensuring alignment with the overall company vision.
- Build strong relationships with subordinates through open communication, mentorship, and regular check-ins, fostering a positive work environment and promoting team cohesion and morale.
- Identify and follow up on opportunities for area expansion, new partnerships, acquisitions, collaborations and overall revenue growth.
- Spearhead the execution of the strategic business plan, including process improvements, staffing optimization and structure, and resource allocation.
- Serve as the project lead for the planning, coordination, and execution of new client site launches and initiatives, ensuring seamless implementation and alignment with client expectations and company standards.
- Assist with consulting projects such as risk and security assessments and security system design, working closely with clients to identify risks, develop tailored security solutions, and ensure successful implementation of recommendations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal training program, offering certification and continuous development opportunities for security staff to enhance their skills, ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain the highest level of operational excellence across all sites.
- Responsible for managing the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a safe and secure work environment for all staff and clients.
- Oversight and management of the staff scheduling and incident reporting database (TrackTik).
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
- Set key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives for operational excellence across the division.
- Advocate for the company and its services, ensuring a positive public image and strong industry reputation.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities, promoting Risk Control Canada Inc. as a thought leader.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and industry influencers to expand the company’s influence and reach.
- Ensure the company is recognized as a relevant leader in the security and risk management industry through active engagement and participation on social media and in public forums.
