Overview The Gallagher Managing Director, Representations and Warranties Insurance Practice Co-Leader (RWI) will be a critical leader in the initiative to expand Gallagher’s market share in the transactional insurance marketplace within key channels including financial sponsors, law firms, and corporate M&A. This leadership position will extend to developing and implementing business strategies in pursuit of aggressive and sustainable sales goals across the broader Gallagher M&A and Portfolio Solutions practice (GMAPS). The Leader will have corporate support to invest in key talent and develop robust operational teams as the business scales. How you'll make an impact Key Relationships • Reports to Executive Vice President, Senior Managing Director of Gallagher M&A and Portfolio Solutions • East Region President (GBS) • Practice Group Strategy Leader (GBS) • GMAPS focused Managing Directors and producers (current and future) • Practice group leaders within GMAPS including tax, diligence, account executives and broking • Gallagher Executive Sponsors/Champions Key Responsibilities: Gallagher M&A and Portfolio Solutions Practice Growth Strategy • As a key leader within the Operating Committee of GMAPS, this Leader will be responsible for working with other leaders to make strategic decisions impacting the growth and development of the overall practice • Establish credibility for GMAPs as the pre-eminent destination for clients and future colleagues • Build upon credibility across Gallagher as a Leader capable of listening, educating, and effecting change that grows Gallagher as a whole across divisions, Branches and specialties. • Serve as a principal advocate of Gallagher’s M&A proposition, the capabilities of the firm, our business philosophy and core values • Develop and present Thought Leadership materials projecting consistent messaging about the Gallagher M&A brand and offerings. Practice Leadership • Fully responsible for managing, developing and client service for Gallagher’s Representations and Warranties Practice within GMAPS • Align domestic strategy for GMAPS and the RWI Practice with Gallagher’s global capabilities and ambitions, ensuring seamless service for cross-border transactions • Quantify addressable market opportunity for Gallagher across representations and warranties insurance and other tangential areas of opportunity (e.g. secondaries, credit funds, etc.) • Assess existing Gallagher capabilities, and build strategic plan to develop, invest in, and integrate teams across the organization • Develop product pricing strategies that position GMAPs to maximize client and revenue opportunity • Enhance and enrich Gallagher’s reputation within the RWI community including with clients, referral sources and carrier partners • Partner with the Chief Operating Officers, Chief Financial Officers and Branch & Sales Leaders, to track and monitor revenue and future investment needs. • Hold strategic planning meetings with executive sponsors and key stakeholders. • Develop financial models and perform analysis to evaluate the potential impact of strategic initiatives and to develop KPIs that define success and overall profitability. Sales Generation Support and Monitoring • As the Leader of the practice drive top-line sales through professional network and client and/or prospect events. Leader will have personal production goals. • Stimulate new sales through existing internal Private Equity local MD’s and Producers: o Create lead generation opportunities through development of targeted, high-impact marketing plans as well as key referral sources and other Private Equity channels o Ensure best-in-class industry solutions and client service support o Assist with existing Private Equity accounts and RFP responses, when needed o Travel or arrange to otherwise support client meeting activities o Develop required capabilities to sell and service niche clients o Together with Practice and Gallagher leadership, work to assertively collaborate intra- and cross-divisionally to maximize revenue generation • Partner with GMAPS leadership and Gallagher Branch Leaders to identify high-potential internal Producers or external, qualified prospects. • Use GWIN (Salesforce.com), to monitor production pipelines to ensure consistent and sustainable growth, personally and across both GGB and GBS production COIs. • Leverage Gallagher Drive to quantify and refine market opportunity and identify the need for additional investment in the practice. • Drive Producer utilization of Gallagher tools and resources including CORE360, Strategic Reviews, and Industry Benchmarking data to increase awareness and targeting of business opportunities. • Oversee RWI practice budget and forecast with GMAPS, country and regional leadership. Transaction Execution • As Leader of the practice, expected to participate in the execution of and placement of policies for deal execution • Standard bearer that will lead a team of others that will support execution of transactional insurance needs Thought Leadership and Management • Provide cross-divisional collateral (white papers, newsletters, webinars, podcasts, speaking engagements, conference participation) • As a leader within GMAPS, position self as a go-to resource within the industry and for media opportunities • Communicate regularly with GMAPS aligned colleagues globally as well as other internally interested colleagues • Regularly review progress against expected results, making adjustments as needed. • Drive needed change through effective communication across divisions and teams. • Contribute to Global Practice Group Talent Management (Learning and Development; Succession Planning; Culture.) About You Required Experience: • Bachelor's degree • 10+ years’ experience in M&A insurance, Law Firm, Private Equity, Investment Banking, or related field Desired: • Juris Doctor, or other advanced degree • Private Equity or Law Firm industry experience, with demonstrated credibility in the M&A marketplace • Ability to define for GMAPS a RWI best-in-class approach and operational structure • Collaborative approach to business development and strategy; must thrive in a complex, matrix environment • Strong understanding of the insurance brokerage industry and the dynamics of the market; capable of influencing in the carrier market • Network of relationships, including subject matter experts, to accelerate and optimize development of GMAPS • Experience leading and executing RWI transactions • Strong analytical skills Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position.
