JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Managing Director is to lead the business unit, ensuring that short- and long-term targets are achieved, and business operations support the Taylor Wimpey Business Strategy.
The MD will be in charge of setting a long-term Strategy and deliver this through a business plan that maximises current assets and develops the future pipeline of opportunities to enhance returns
You will need to drive a continuous improvement, customer centric agenda, challenging the status quo and proactively identifying operational enhancements. Drive operational improvement and reduce cost through efficiency and value improvement. And ensure that the business is bought into and clear about the company direction.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Experience of stakeholder engagement and building community contacts
• Effective understanding of at least two other operational functions
• Ability to establish a strategic plan for the business and to deliver it
• Entrepreneurial skills, breadth of view beyond traditional approaches
• Strong networker, totally committed to community involvement
• Land acquisition knowledge
• High standard of financial literacy & analytical skills, of financial returns
