Due to our continued expansion, OCC is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to play a critical role in the financial success of our projects. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with 10+ years’ post-graduate experience.
· Proven experience in managing a team of Quantity Surveyors.
· Proven experience managing subcontractor accounts and contract negotiation.
· Strong commercial acumen and ability to deliver financial reports with accuracy and clarity.
· Excellent knowledge of PWC & RIAI form of contracts and experience in the main contracting market.
· Highly numerate, with an analytical mindset and exceptional attention to detail.
· Proficient in Excel and Cubit, with the ability to manage and interpret financial data.
· A proactive, problem-solving approach with a drive to deliver the best commercial outcomes.
· Take ownership of financial management on projects, ensuring commercial success through accurate reporting and cost control.
· Report directly to the Commercial manager ensuring seamless communication and alignment on all financial aspects of projects
· Manage subcontractor packages, oversee payments, and ensure compliance with agreed terms and budgets.
· Monitor and report on project expenditure, budgets, and variations to ensure financial performance is optimised.
· Support the QS team with monthly valuations, variations, cost reports, cashflow forecasting and strategic financial planning.
· Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements, providing expertise in contract management and negotiation.
· Work closely with site teams, project managers, and stakeholders to drive efficiencies and enhance commercial performance.
· Contribute to business improvement initiatives, helping to refine reporting systems and commercial strategies.
· Mentor and support QS team members, fostering a high-performance culture within the commercial team.
