Job Description

We seek an experienced and highly skilled Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial management and quantity surveying for infrastructure maintenance projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and contractual compliance.

  • Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors, providing guidance and mentorship
  • Develop and implement cost control strategies to maximize project profitability
  • Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential cost overruns
  • Oversee the procurement process, including tender preparation and evaluation
  • Provide expert advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Stay updated on industry trends, local regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Professional certification from a recognized institution (e.g., RICS, AACE)
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects
  • Experience in the Middle East construction market preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of quantity surveying principles and practices
  • Expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • Strong contract management and procurement skills
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry standards and practices
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage and mentor a team of professionals
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
