ROLE

We are seeking a fluent Mandarin speaker interested in the early years education sector to join our Pre-school room. This room accommodates children from 3 to 4 years old.
Mandarin teachers have the honour of being responsible for teaching Mandarin through play and activities to the children. We do not have “language lessons”; children learn through activities and day-to-day interactions.
We ask that you only ever use Mandarin when speaking to the children.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach Mandarin through play and activities
• Supervise children during their daily activities and prepare relevant materials
• Assist with settling in new children and record their progress
• Write weekly diaries and bi-annual reports for parents
• Organise and prepare appropriate art activities for the younger children
• Communicate effectively with parents and build good relationships with them
• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure children’s welfare and safety
