ABOUT US:

Mandokids Inc. is a Chinese Learning Centre in Metro Vancouver. We offer one-on-one and group classes that focus on teaching Chinese Mandarin as a second language, Singapore Math, After school program and Summer camps. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team as a Mandarin Lead Teacher.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As the Mandarin Lead Teacher you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Mandarin Teaching: Designing and delivering engaging Mandarin language lessons to students from ages 1 to 12 years old.
  • Curriculum Development: Developing comprehensive Mandarin language curriculum aligned with educational standards and tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Student Assessment: Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies to support student learning and development.
  • Cultural Enrichment: Organizing cultural events, activities, and exchanges to enhance students’ appreciation and understanding of Mandarin language and Chinese culture.
  • School Leadership: Providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to ensure the effective operation and continuous improvement of the school.
  • Staff Management: Supervising and supporting teaching staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment conducive to professional growth and development.
  • Parent and Community Engagement: Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the broader community to promote a culture of partnership and involvement in the education process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mandarin, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Teaching Chinese as a second language certification preferred.
  • ECE certification preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experiences working with children from 3-5 years old.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in an educational setting, preferably as a principal, vice principal, or department head.
  • Strong understanding of Mandarin language teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English languages required.
