Job Description

We are seeking a motivated FinOps intern to join our Competence Center Software and Services team. In this role, you will support us in building and enhancing FinOps practices, as well as selecting and implementing a FinOps tool for our cloud services. You will have the opportunity to explore various FinOps tools and contribute to a pilot project.

  • During your internship, you will assist us in analyzing data on cloud spending to make informed decisions regarding the allocation and management of our cloud costs, maximizing business value through cloud services.
  • You will conduct an analysis of FinOps tools to identify suitable options for our Nexospace Cloud Services.
  • Furthermore, you will evaluate selected tools against defined criteria, assist in the decision-making process and support the integration of data into the chosen FinOps tool.
  • In addition, you will participate in the pilot phase of the FinOps tool, which includes user testing and feedback collection.
  • Last but not least, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of FinOps practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Master studies in the field of Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration or comparable
  • Experience and Knowledge: previous internships, working student activities, scientific collaborations or other practical experience; a basic understanding of IT systems, particularly cloud environments; knowledge of Java, Python or other scripting languages; strong analytical skills and a technical background; foundational knowledge of Business Administration; familiarity with FinOps and related tools is a plus
  • Personality and Working Practice: you are a solution-oriented, motivated and independent team player with excellent communication skills; you possess a proactive attitude and a hands-on mentality; you are eager to delve into the technical details of cloud services
  • Work Routine: partially mobile working is possible
  • Languages: business fluent in German and English

    Start: according to prior agreement
    Duration: 6 months (confirmation of mandatory internship required)
    Place of deployment: München or Immenstaad or Stuttgart
