Description We are seeking a highly skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating manual lathes, mills, and related shop equipment, with a strong commitment to precision, safety, and quality workmanship. This position requires the ability to work independently, interpret technical drawings, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and related shop equipment Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders Perform accurate measurements using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges Verify dimensions and maintain tolerances within required specs Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean and organized Perform minor repairs and adjustments as needed Collaborate with assembly, welding, and engineering teams Adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and company policies Preferred Qualifications Experience with basic CNC operation (a plus, not required) Welding or fabrication experience also helpful Experience in a job-shop or custom manufacturing environment Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production schedule Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet production deadlines Requirements Requirements 3+ years of experience as a Manual Machinist (or proven skills to match) Strong knowledge of machining processes and materials Ability to read and understand technical drawings Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection procedures Strong math and problem-solving skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
