We are growing at a fast pace and require a skilled machinist to assist us with the increasing workload.

YOUR SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· You can demonstrate a strong understanding of engineering drawings along with the ability to use your mathematic skills to work out absent dimensions.
· You work well under pressure and strive to help the business meet deadlines.
· You are flexible, organised and can use your own initiative.
· You are confident, polite & enjoy working with people.
· You have good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
· You are keen to learn and continue your personal learning and development.
· A qualification in engineering or similar is desirable but not essential.
· You are familiar with the measuring equipment required for machining operations such as: callipers, micrometres, bore gauges etc.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

· Experience in a similar role is essential.
· Knowledge on materials used in our sector is also essential e.g. aluminium, stainless & steel.
· Experience using CNC machines is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Within this role you will:

  • Perform machining operations such as drilling, tapping, milling, turning and so on during the production of components.
  • Use a variety of machines including lathes, milling machines & manual equipment.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings independently in the production of components.
  • Use metrology equipment to ensure accuracy of components.

As part of a small and fast-growing company, you will work both collaboratively and independently. When required, you will work under your own initiative and take responsibility to solve problems.
