SKILLS

• Proficient in drill press, milling machines and lathes.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tasks.
• Experience with blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency in production processes.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively.
• Welding skills are a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.

• Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality components as per specifications.
• Capable of holding tight tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
• Employ hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy in machining tasks.
• Document and report inspection data, deviations, and completed work in accordance with company and industry standards.
• Conduct assembly tasks as required, ensuring all components fit together correctly.
• Perform basic maintenance on machines and tools to ensure reliability and safe operation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment following lean manufacturing principles.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Adhere to safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
• Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and legislation, including participation in regular safety training.
