Job Title: Manual Machinist / Legacy Equipment Operator Position Summary:  We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to operate and maintain a range of legacy metalworking equipment, including horizontal broaches, swage presses, manual mills, and drill presses. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who understands traditional machining methods and takes pride in precision craftsmanship outside of CNC environments. Key Responsibilities: * Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including: * Horizontal broach * Swage press * Manual (knee) mill (e.g., Kearney & Trecker or similar) * Manual gang drill press * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions * Select tooling, fixtures, and materials appropriate for each job * Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc. * Maintain tight tolerances and ensure part quality * Troubleshoot setups and make manual adjustments during machining * Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on legacy equipment * Work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Skills & Experience: * 1-2+ years of manual machining experience (more preferred for complex setups) * Experience with horizontal broaching and/or swaging operations strongly preferred * Must have the ability to read and interpret gauges such as, but not limited to, calipers, micrometers & etc. * Familiarity with older/manual equipment and mechanical systems * Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and material behavior * Ability to fabricate or modify tooling as needed * CNC experience is a plus, but not required Benefits: * Performance & Attendance Bonuses * Medical, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance at 60 days * Long and Short-Term disability coverage * Critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity * HSA and FSA opportunities * 401(k) with company match after 60 days * Paid Holidays & Vacation * Personal Time * Weekly Pay Wages: * $18.00 - $25.00 based on experience * You will have an opportunity to earn an additional $1.50 an hour  * Apply here, and we will send a link to complete the application and culture index survey.   *** This survey must be completed at the time of the application being submitted. ***   If you have any questions or issues, please call 260-488-1800.
