Job Title: Fabricator / Manual Machine Operator
Location: Hinckley
Job Type: Full-Time, Ongoing Contract
Pay Rate: £18.36 per hour

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven background in metal fabrication, manual machining, or prototype manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Skilled in the use of manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and welding equipment
  • Competent with sheet metal fabrication processes (cutting, bending, forming, welding)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client, a prestigious motorcycle manufacturer based in Hinckley, is seeking an experienced Fabricator / Manual Machine Operator to join their Design & Development Manufacturing Team.
This exciting opportunity involves producing one-off prototype parts and working on custom fabrication projects that directly support prototype build activities. Precision and engineering experience are critical.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fabricate sheet metal components to precise engineering specifications
  • Manufacture turned and milled parts from technical drawings using manual machines
  • Operate various metalworking machinery and hand tools
  • Conduct dimensional and quality inspections on all fabricated parts
  • Work closely with design engineers and prototype teams to support ongoing development
