Overview We’re hiring skilled Manual Machinists to join our team, where we build specialized industrial equipment and advanced production solutions used across the marine and fluid movement industries. In this role, you will take ownership of the machining process, operating and maintaining primarily manual mills, lathes, and other machinery, utilizing your mechanical aptitude to perform independent setups, read complex blueprints, and inspect parts to exact tolerances. Life & disability coverage Responsibilities Machining Operations: Operate manual mills, lathes, and other machinery to produce parts with precision and consistency Blueprint Interpretation: Read and analyze blueprints, instructional drawings, and specifications to ensure products are sized and machined correctly. Machine Setup: Prepare machines for operation by loading necessary tools, fixtures, and materials, and setting machine parameters Quality & Inspection: Inspect finished parts for defects and verify strict dimensional tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating components, replacing worn tooling, and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and proactively maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment for yourself and others. Qualifications Experience: 3–5 years of related manufacturing experience. Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of both manual mills and lathes Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and comprehend machine tolerances. Metrology: High mechanical aptitude with the ability to effectively use precision gauges and measurement tools. Work Ethic: Strong ability to multi-task and maintain excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced precision environment. Education: High school degree or GED equivalent.
Responsibilities
