JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating manual lathes, vertical and horizontal boring mills, and milling machines to produce precision components. This role also involves setting up and operating a variety of machine tools while demonstrating expertise in fabricating, modifying, and repairing mechanical instruments.
This position follows a 4-days on / 4-days off shift schedule and is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and a team-oriented environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a manual machinist in an industrial setting, or equivalent training from a machining/trade school.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.).
  • Ability to work on your feet all day and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Dependable and punctual with strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must pass drug and physical testing.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Prior work in electric motor repair, heavy equipment repair, industrial maintenance, diesel mechanics, or similar fields.
Responsibilities
  • Operate manual lathes, vertical and horizontal boring mills, and milling machines.
  • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts.
  • Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments.
  • Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines.
  • Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
  • Perform other duties/projects as designated by the supervisor.
