Summary: Packages materials and products manually by managing or tending to a Sparker box, Counter, Take-up, pay off up to 46in, Wire stripper, Scale, and a Skal Tech up to 42in. Also, adheres to all palletizing procedures when applicable. Verifies and test, all wire and cable by using calipers and cutters. In addition to performing routine Quality Assurance checks. Determines the inner wall thickness, outer wall thickness, wire thickness, and if the wire/conductor is centered. Verifies the proper label on each spool and the proper coding is printed on the jacket. Verifies that the label matches the traveler and is placed on the correct reel size. Completes any and all other duties requested or assigned. Essential Functions, Duties, Abilities and Responsibilities: Understands complex work instructions. Loads and off loads product. Uses equipment and materials properly. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. Ensure cable is evenly wrapped. Legibly write on all necessary documents (Labels Tickets & Travelers). The ability to multi-task in all areas of position. Perform routine quality checks on all wire and cable. Maintain a clean work area and keeps organized. Follows policy and procedures Adapts to change in work environment Is consistently at work and on time Meets productivity standards Understand the Quality Management System and understands how their jobs affect it.
