POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manufacturer Relations Manager plays a vital role in securing drug access, optimizing procurement strategies, and driving revenue growth for the pharmacy. This individual serves as the primary liaison between the pharmacy, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), ensuring the pharmacy gains and maintains access to limited distribution drugs (LDDs) and specialty medications. Key responsibilities include managing manufacturer onboarding processes, aligning contracts and pricing through GPOs, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with manufacturer requirements, and delivering data-driven insights to support formulary inclusion and payer engagement. This role directly supports pharmacy profitability by reducing drug acquisition costs, unlocking new drug access opportunities, and positioning the pharmacy as a high-performing dispensing site.
