MANUFACTURING ACCOUNTANT (FULL-CYCLE + COST ACCOUNTING EXP. REQ.) DESCRIPTION

Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Accountant with full-cycle cost accounting experience to join their collaborative finance team in Mississauga, ON. You’ll report to the Director of Finance and play a hands-on role supporting the company’s financial operations, including month-end close, inventory management, job costing, budgeting, and financial reporting. This is an ideal fit for someone who thrives in a manufacturing setting and enjoys digging into numbers to understand the story behind them. Strong candidates for this role are analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong Excel skills and a desire to learn and grow. MANUFACTURING ACCOUNTANT (FULL-CYCLE + COST ACCOUNTING EXP. REQ.) QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
  • 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in manufacturing environment required
  • Cost accounting experience required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.) required
  • Proficiency with ERP software required

Responsibilities
  • Perform full-cycle accounting, including reconciliations and month-end close
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for leadership
  • Support budgeting and performance tracking, sales forecasting, and cash flow tracking
  • Maintain accuracy of inventory and ERP data
  • Lead physical inventory count process, including planning and reconciliation
  • Monitor and support the return (RMA) process to ensure compliance
  • Analyze job profitability and ROI in collaboration with the Director of Finance
  • Prepare and file HST returns and assist with government survey reporting
  • Support year-end audit activities
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and data integrity policies
