JOB SUMMARY

Our client, a leading global medical device manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Specialist to join their team in Mebane, NC. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting automated production equipment, supporting process improvements, and assisting in new equipment installations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • HS Diploma/GED with 8+ years of equipment maintenance experience, OR
  • Associate’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics (or related field) with 2–3 years’ experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs (RSLogix 500/5000).
  • Hands-on experience with servo motors & drives.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits (low signals up to 480 VAC).
  • Proficiency with MS Excel & Word.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull equipment up to 60 lbs.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • FDA-regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean/TPM methodologies.
  • Experience with machining equipment (lathes, mills).
  • Familiarity with pumping & piping systems.

    Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed automated equipment (mechanical, pneumatic, electrical).
  • Perform preventative maintenance and update intervals as needed.
  • Support equipment upgrades, validations, and capital projects.
  • Use Allen-Bradley PLCs (RSLogix 500/5000) to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Work with vision inspection systems (Keyence, Cognex).
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards (Lockout/Tagout, Zero-Energy).
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth operations.
