Job Description Location: Niles, IL | Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Pay: $24.16/hr Are you a detail-oriented maker who takes pride in precision? Avery Dennison is looking for a Manufacturing Belt Specialist to join our Tooling Group. In this role, you aren’t just running a machine; you are a "Precision Builder" responsible for the craftsmanship and quality of essential industrial components. What You’ll Do Day-to-Day: Build & Refine: Perform end-to-end assembly of specialized belts following strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and use lab equipment to ensure every product meets our "zero-defect" goal. Data & Analysis: Enter test results into software applications and perform basic statistical analysis to track production health. Logistics Support: Prepare, clean, and pack finished belts for secure shipment. Qualifications What You Bring to the Team: Technical Aptitude: You have a high school diploma (or GED) or 3+ years of manufacturing experience. Prior mechanical or electrical skills are a plus. Computer Literacy: Comfortable using Excel, Word, and production software to log data. Physical Agility: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout your shift. The "Precision" Mindset: You have a strong eye for detail and a commitment to safety and high-quality work. Collaborative Spirit: You prioritize "Team Before Self" and are willing to cross-train to help the department succeed.
