Manufacturing Capability Leaders (MCLs) are Subject Matter Experts and super coaches with ability to teach, coach and influence site leaders and their teams.
MCLs governs IWS implementation in ~4 manufacturing sites and leads a regional IWS manufacturing pillar (typically Autonomous Maintenance, Progressive Maintenance, Loss Elimination or Education & Training).
The role interacts, coach and influence senior leaders (Heads of Manufacturing, Manufacturing VPs, Plant Directors) and plant key leaders.
IWS leaders in the sites reports functionally to the MCLs.

• Ensuring sites are not constrained due to the lack of knowledge
• Assuring the proper level of skills & qualification reside at the plant or facility to successfully deploy the loss elimination skill needed for the CBN
• Providing Site Leadership a calibrated assessment of IWS implementation form a point of view of total integration of the pillars
• Providing direct coaching to Site Leadership teams so they know what the next step is, why the next step is important and how to do the next step while creating capability to deliver stable and predictable operations
• Promoting reapplication of approaches and techniques globally while assuring the tools used are being used according to the standard
• Ensuring close alignment with the Manufacturing Director on the IWS Strategy for the GBU
• Acting as a potential building block of future Plant Manager & PS Leaders that can coach, benchmark and work closely with the different sites, organizations & operations
  This role will include approximately 60% of travel. You can be based in various locations, including Belgium or any of our Headquarters in Hoofddorp or Paris.

About you

• Able to influence plant managers & plant leadership teams, and Directors as required
• Ability to teach, coach & develop others
• On-the-floor credibility with people doing the work
• Active listener, but can confront and be assertive
• Have a passion for the work & can help others to see the vision
• Personally committed to self-development
• Able to speak English as primary or secondary language
• Minimum operation experience & have the skills of at least the phase of where the plant or facility is currently working
• Have had a line assignment in Manufacturing
• Are able to develop capability in leadership teams and especially in the IWS Manager whom you qualify
• Capable to diagnose activities & identify technical know-how and organization behaviors that are barriers to implementation
• Providing feedback to leadership team that cause them to take action
• Build a network with other GBU’s and external organizations
• Share & receive learning with and from other Internal Consultants to foster global skills development
• Closely working with GBU lead sites or pilots & initiatives as appropriate
• Work closely with Global Pillar Members to assure standard application of the pillar capabilities.
