Job Description Job Purpose The Manufacturing Chemist I at LGC holds an important position in our research team, preparing reagents, buffers, stocks, and various solutions following set procedures in our operations laboratory. You will operate common laboratory equipment and methods to complete these tasks under both direct and indirect guidance. Your efforts will support routine analysis and evaluation of test results against defined acceptance criteria, requiring limited judgment. Key Responsibilities Prepare product and pilot reagents, buffers, and other solutions following written procedures and protocols. Maintain accurate records of work performed in compliance with GLP, cGMP, and QSR requirements. Test incoming raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards. Conduct stability and validation studies to determine product longevity and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure flawless operation. Supervisory No direct supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a life science field or other related science or medical curriculum. Proficiency in general biological and chemical laboratory techniques. This is an entry-level role; no prior formal experience is necessary. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning skills. A self-motivated individual with the ability to effectively collaborate with others across the entire business. High level of attention to detail and a dedication to maintaining high standards. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year of formal working experience. Proficiency with various traditional office efficiency applications.
