Position Summary The Manufacturing Clerk provides administrative and operational support to the manufacturing floor by maintaining accurate production records, processing documentation, and coordinating information between production, inventory, shipping, and management. This role helps ensure smooth daily operations, data accuracy, and compliance with company procedures. Requirements Responsibilities · Enter and maintain production data, labor hours, and job tracking information in company systems · Create, distribute, and close out production travelers, work orders, and job packets · Track material usage, scrap, rework, and production output · Support inventory accuracy by assisting with cycle counts and material tracking · Prepare reports related to production, efficiency, and scheduling · Communicate production status updates to supervisors and management · File, organize, and maintain manufacturing and quality documentation · Assist with scheduling, shift reports, and daily production logs · Support shipping and receiving documentation as needed · Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards Qualifications · High school diploma or GED required · 1–3 years of clerical or administrative experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred · Ability to read work orders, safety instructions, and basic technical documentation · Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. · Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Physical Requirements · Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (8+ hours) · Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. independently · Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials required · Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity · Ability to tolerate noise, heat, and dust in a manufacturing environment · Visual acuity to read measuring tools, drawings, and detect quality defects · Must pass initial and ongoing physical or occupational health screenings (e.g., lifting assessment, vision test, hearing test, etc.) · Must be able to wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection Work Environment Manufacturing floor with exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp materials, and moderate to loud noise. May be exposed to hot or cold environments depending on season. Work schedule may include overtime or weekend shifts as needed.
