JOB DESCRIPTION

Cleanfix North America Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing & Coding Engineering Technologist to support the integration of smart manufacturing technologies and automation into our production and product development processes. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, this role is a key contributor to both the engineering and manufacturing teams, with a focus on developing software-driven solutions, optimizing production workflows, and supporting the implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or JavaScript; experience with PLC programming is an asset
  • Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Experience with manufacturing systems, automation, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid passport and Ontario driver’s license; access to a reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to be a long-term contributor and strong team member within a stable and growing organization

    Responsibilities
    • Develop and implement software tools and scripts to support manufacturing automation, data collection, and process optimization
    • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and embedded systems into Cleanfix products
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to manufacturing systems, coding logic, and equipment integration
    • Support the design and deployment of custom applications for internal use (e.g., dashboards, testing tools, configuration utilities)
    • Assist in the digital transformation of manufacturing processes, including data logging, predictive maintenance, and real-time monitoring
    • Provide technical support to OEM customers and internal teams for software-enabled product features
    • Participate in trade shows and technical demonstrations as needed
